Who we are

Luxury Escape Massage is run by Lucy Trotter from her treatment room at The Hub, Merlewood HPB, Windermere Road, Grange-over-Sands LA11 6JT. What we collect and why

When you send an enquiry

The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, the treatment you are interested in, how you would like a reply, times that suit you and your message. Lucy uses these details only to reply to your enquiry and, if you go on to book, to arrange your treatment. The legal basis is that you have asked us to respond, and it is in our legitimate interests to do so.

When you call, email or message on WhatsApp

Lucy keeps your contact details and messages so she can reply and look after your booking.

When you book

Bookings are made through The Hub’s online booking page, which is provided by SimplyBook.me. The details you enter there are handled under The Hub’s and SimplyBook.me’s own privacy policies, and Lucy receives what she needs to provide your treatment.

Health information

Before your first treatment, Lucy will ask about your health so that your treatment is safe and suitable for you. This is kept private, used only for your care and never shared without your permission, unless the law requires it. Please don’t include detailed medical information in the website enquiry form.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. Client records, including health notes, are kept securely for as long as Lucy’s professional insurance and guidance require, then securely destroyed.

Who helps us

We never sell your information or use it for advertising. A few trusted services help run the website and email, and handle your details only on our behalf:

• Cloudflare hosts the website and protects it from attack. Like any web host, it briefly processes your IP address when you visit. It also keeps a copy of enquiry form messages in the website’s secure admin area, so none go astray, until they are deleted.
• Resend delivers enquiry form messages to Lucy’s inbox, using its EU servers.
• Zoho Mail provides Lucy’s email, hosted in the EU.
• Google Fonts supplies the website’s typefaces, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
• WhatsApp, if you choose to message Lucy that way.

Where any of these providers handle information outside the UK, they do so under the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

Cookies and saved settings

This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising, and there are no analytics. It saves a few small settings in your own browser: whether you have seen the welcome screen during this visit, whether you chose to have sound on, and, if you add the app to your phone, a copy of the pages so they open without a signal. These settings stay on your device and are never sent to us. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, ask us to stop using it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Just email relax@luxuryescapemassage.co.uk and Lucy will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, please tell Lucy first so she can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If anything changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will show when.
